When I found out I was expecting, I loved to track my pregnancy week by week online. There are several ways to do this and it is a neat way to see not only what is happening to your own body, but how the baby is growing inside of you which is an amazing thing. One website allowed me to create a cute picture ticker which was a graphical representation of what point I was in the pregnancy at any moment. I could look at it and see how many days I had left until my due date and I could also see how big the baby was at that moment in time. It was incredible to see the image go from an embryo to an actual human being near the end. It made me so excited for the birth and the day I would get to meet my daughter. I also found an online forum where I met other women who were expecting babies in the same month as I was expecting mine. We all would post questions and ideas to each other so that we could benefit from our collective experience.
Another method I used to track my pregnancy week by week was our family blog. It was an outlet for me to talk about what was going on during the nine months leading up to the birth and it also allowed my husband and I to share ultrasound images with our friends and family so they could see how the baby was growing. My favorite post was the one where we told everyone we were having a girl. I took a picture of our son wearing his "I'm a Big Brother" tee-shirt and holding a bouquet of pink balloons and just uploaded that image and titled it: "It's a Girl!!!". It was so fun to see everyone's comments pop up. We were so excited and couldn't wait to meet her.
