The Chinese calendar for gender has been used for around seven thousand years for naturally predicting the gender of an unborn child.

Boys were a preferred offspring in old Chinese tradition as they could work for their keep. Young men working in the fields was a common sight in China, as the country has always been heavily dependant on agriculture and farming.
